About Me

Hello! My name is Somya Nog, and I am a high school sophomore in Connecticut, USA.

Hey look, it’s me!

As a young child, I remained completely oblivious to the detrimental environmental changes happening all around me. It wasn’t until the later years of middle school that I realized just how much danger our planet was in, and still is in. It was absolutely mind-boggling to learn about the wildfires raging across the West, the thick levels of smog blanketing several major cities, the major deforestation occurring around the globe, the shockingly high levels of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere because of human activities, and so much more.

I am passionate about learning how various human activities are contributing to these environmental changes that impact our planet’s health (and eventually, ours) and how we, as individuals, can implement small but significant changes into our lifestyles to mitigate these changes. That is exactly what “From One Human to Another” intends to do, and I hope you will join me on this journey.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and playing tennis and the violin.
