5 Brands That are Doing it Right

Hello everyone! In the past, I’ve largely focused on the negative environmental issues that plague our world, but at some point negativity just gets depressing. I thought we needed to switch things up a bit, so today, I’m coming to you with 5 exceptional brands that are doing wonders for the environment. Keep reading to find out what they are!

  1. Blueland

Chances are that you’ve probably heard of Blueland before. The company develops high-quality, sustainable cleaning products. Their innovative design features a tablet cleaner, which when dissolved in water, transforms into a functional hand soap, multi-purpose cleaner, laundry detergent, or even body wash! Because they don’t use plastic water bottles, they provide infinitely refillable products, so in this way, you save money, space, and the Earth too! They’ve saved over a billion plastic bottles from being used, according to their website. Additionally, their quality standards are very high; they make sure to always use clean materials in their formulas. With hundreds of 5-star reviews, you’re sure to love these eco-friendly products!

  1. Too Good to Go

If you’ve been keeping up with my blog, you know that waste, especially food waste, is a major problem, particularly in the US. Too Good to Go and their bold mission aims to alleviate just that! This company has its own app that works to connect restaurants with extra, uneaten food with customers so that the restaurants don’t have any wasted food. Featuring a super user-friendly interface, they sell “Surprise Bags” to restaurants, which, in my opinion, are pretty self-explanatory. Give this ingenious new concept a try sometime soon and help to lower food waste!

  1. Who Gives a C**p

This toilet paper brand with a humorous yet mildly inappropriate name is really on top of things! This Australian-based company doesn’t sell just any toilet paper, their eco-friendly products are 100% plastic-free, some made of 100% bamboo or 100% recycled paper. As if it couldn’t get any better, they donate 50% of their profits to help build more toilets in less fortunate communities around the world, keeping the world and its inhabitants clean at the same time!

  1. Green Toys

The name probably gives it all away, but Green Toys takes recycling to the next level by making toys that any kid would want to play with… entirely out of recycled materials! Yes, you heard that right! The toys, that range from bath toys to arts and crafts materials to role play toys, are commonly made from plastic milk jugs and inked with soy ink. To add on to the fun, they are entirely made in the US, severely minimizing GHG emissions from transportation. Yay! The next time you need to buy your favorite kid a new toy, look no further than Green Toys!

  1. Native Shoes

Last, but certainly not least, we have Native Shoes. Believe it or not, so, so many pairs of shoes end up rotting in the landfill once they’ve worn out, and Native Shoes is here to fix that! With their limited edition, revolutionary Plant Shoe, the first completely biodegradable shoe made of 100% natural materials which is also compostable, this brand is taking eco-friendly to the next level. Their shoes are not only fashionable but also made of vegan materials so as not to harm any animals in their production. Along with making shoes, Native Shoes also collects their old shoes from customers so they can be properly recycled into many things, including insulation and playground flooring.

And with that, that’s all for today, folks! Hopefully this post inspired you to check out one or more (or even all!) of these brands for a more sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle! While this was only 5 brands, there are so many more out there that are doing just as great, so I might make this a regular installment on the blog! As always, thank you, dear reader, for reading this. Until next time!
